Police: 2 Shot Near Detroit High School

Two people were shot on Detroit’s east side Thursday, after a fight inside of Denby High School spilled out onto the street, Detroit police confirmed.

A 16-year-old girl attending summer school was shot once in the side, about 100 feet outside the school building and a male victim fled the scene after he was shot.

It is believed that two groups of teenagers started fighting inside the school before moving around the block where the shooting occurred.

No arrests have been made in the shootings.
