An elderly Pennsylvania woman who had been missing for two days has been found alive in a car that went off the road, western Pennsylvania authorities said.
According to authorities, 86-year-old Helen McCoy had been trapped by the body of her dead acquaintance, Robert Harris, whom police said suffered some kind of illness and when he drove his vehicle off the road.
The accident occurred last Monday after the couple failed to return home to New Brighton after attending an event at a social club.
The vehicle was spotted late Wednesday morning by relatives searching for the couple in a wooded area.
Police say McCoy, who is recovering in a Pittsburgh hospital, was disoriented but largely uninjured.
