Police: Clown tried to solicit sex at rest area

A 46-year-old Massachusetts man, who worked as a clown, was arrested this week for allegedly hopping into a tractor-trailer at a rest stop on I-95 and asking the driver if he wanted to have sex.

Shortly before midnight on Tuesday, a completely naked James Vosolo, of Danvers, opened the door to the tractor-trailer and surprised the driver by asking him if he wanted to have sex.

The driver, who has not been identified, suggested to Vosolo, who worked as a clown for Total Entertainment, that they meet at a rest stop in Seabrook, New Hampshire, where they could do the dirty.

The driver then called 911.

Trooper Michael Caranfa was responding to the call when he spotted Vosolo’s vehicle on I-95.  As he was attempting to pull over the vehicle, he saw Vosolo threw something out of his window.

Authorities were unable to retrieve what was discarded, which they believed was narcotics.

Trooper Caranfa said when Vosolo was arrested he was only wearing thong underwear.

Vosolo faces charges of indecent exposure, assault and battery, failure to stop for police and disorderly conduct.

A representative for Total Entertainment told the Salem News that Vosolo was no longer employed there, but would not comment on whether he worked with kids when he did.
