Police identified the body of the woman found last Saturday in the Blue Hills Reservation in Quincy as Kristyn L. Genereux

The burnt body of a Boston woman that was found in the Blue Hills Reservation in Quincy last Saturday was that of a witness who testified in a murder case 12 years ago, officials said.

12 years ago, Kristyn L. Genereux testimony in a drug-related murder case helped sent two men to a Massachusetts prison for life.

Genereux’s body was found by a hiker days after she celebrated her 42^nd birthday.

Genereux was the mother of four children.
