Canadian officials said a 41-year-old Toronto man who was shot and killed by York Regional police last week was responsible for the death of his ex-girlfriend, whose body was found in a laneway near Dufferin Mall several hours earlier.
York Regional police said Paul Black had shot and killed his ex-girlfriend Andrene Graham shortly after they met near Dufferin Mall around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Graham was found bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head behind Chesley Drive. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.
Police searching for Black several hours later found him in Richmond Hill. Authorities have not said what caused officers to fired their weapons at Black.
It is unclear why the couple, who had dated for three years but had been separated since July 2011, had agreed to meet at the mall.
Police said they are not searching for anyone else in the shootings.

The tragic death of Andrene Graham has forced me to speak the truth and reveal the whole story behind this devastating tragedy. The death of Andrene Graham is a death that was precipitated by many disturbing events that could have been prevented. Although on the surface, this appears to be a tragic story of domestic abuse turned fatal, there is far more to this story then meets the eye. The death of Andrene Graham is tightly interwoven into a reality of lies, corruption, manipulation and abuse of power in a small Toronto-based religious organization called the Israelite Nation. The Israelite Nation is a religious organization with chapters in various cities in the U.S, Canada and England. Its followers strictly adhere to the teachings of the King James version of the Bible. They are committed to keeping the customs of the Israelites in the Bible as they believe that the true Israelites of the Bible are the descendants of the transatlantic slave trade, that is, people of African descent.
Andrene Graham, a 40 year old mother of five was brutally murdered by her on again, off again lover, Paul Michael Black on Friday, January 27, 2012. She was a member of the Israelite Nation, also known as Israelite Nation World Wide Ministries. Over the past several years, the Israelite Nation has been plagued by in-fighting, chaos and confusion as many of its members questioned the behaviour of the churches leaders. Sexual affairs, sexual abuse, coercion, lies and deception were all a part of the way in which founder and master teacher, Shadrock Porter and his council of priests led their followers. The details of what has been occurring in this
organization are kept quiet due to Porter’s ability to manipulate his followers and coerce them through fear. Porter, a native of Guyana, has been said to have ties to the late Jim Jones, David Hill and Forbes Burnham, former Prime Minister of Guyana. Porter’s control and influence over the members of his church have been said to resemble that of a cult leader. Any dissenting opinions or challenges to his authority have resulted in individuals being kicked out and abandoned by the only family that many of them know. Many of those who choose to remain in the “Nation” do so out of fear of losing their spirituality and identity.
Andrene Graham was one of Shadrock Porter’s devout followers whose relationship went beyond that of spiritual teacher and student. It was common knowledge amongst many of the members of the Israelite Nation and Andrene’s family and friends that she was involved in a clandestine love affair with the leader of the Israelite Nation. Graham’s death is most definitely a result of her affair with the Israelite Nations Founder, Shadrock Porter. Porter abused his position of power with numerous women in the nation but Andrene was his prized possession. Shadrock is a married man and Andrene was in a three year relationship with Paul Michael Black but that did not stop either of them from continuing their affair.
Things began to change when Porter discovered that Graham was in a relationship with Black. As a result, he immediately insisted that she end the relationship. Andrene an obedient follower of Porter initially followed orders. However, Black cared a great deal for her and she eventually began seeing him again without Porter’s knowledge. Not long after, their relationship was cut short again when Paul discovered a series of emails between Graham and Porter on her laptop. These emails were the impetus for the domestic disputes between Black and Graham. Black understandably felt betrayed and used. He forwarded the emails to himself, printed them and went to the church to confront Porter about his affair with Graham. Black was threatened and told to leave the premises by Porter’s priests. The events that followed are a still mystery but those
that know Andrene and Paul know that Graham’s relationship with the founder of the Israelite
Nation, Shadrock Porter, was the main source of conflict that has abruptly ended in a tragic murder-suicide.
Porter has destroyed many families and now the blood of two people are on his hands. As a “man of God” in a position of leadership and authority, Porter needs to be held accountable or at least exposed for the role that he has played in this tragedy. He has managed to keep the scandals of the Nation secret for far too long and now the truth must be revealed.
Oh my gosh, you are STILL trying to destroy the Israelite Nation??? If you spent more time keeping your wife in check, you would probably still be one of “Porters’ friends – instead, she’s off banging EVERYBODY that doesn’t beleive in God, and you’re busy trying to spread rumours about “Porter”??? HAHAHA – what a joke! You AND the rest of you backsliders know that none of what you say is true. Get mad at your wife and LEAVE THE ISRAELITE NATION WORLDWIDE MINISTRIES ALONE!!!
