A 55-year-old Ohio man is said to have killed himself after killing his girlfriend and three other people.
Robert Brazzon, of Newton Falls, died after shooting himself in the chest during a brief stand-off with police in a cemetery early Friday afternoon.
Police responding to a 911 call at 72A Trumbull Court shortly after noon-time Friday, found Rikki Cogley, 42; his wife Kathy Cogley,39; and Kathy’s son Everett Greathouse, 15, all shot to death. About an hour later police found Brazzon’s 38-year-old girlfriend, Tracey Engler, shot to death about a block away from the Trumbull home.
It is believed after the shootings Brazzon fled to a cemetery on Ridge Road, where he kept police at bay for a short period. It was there that Brazzon shot himself in the chest.
Brazzon was taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital where he died.
A motive for the shootings was not immediately known.
