Police in New Jersey say the Teaneck man who was found dead in the basement of his Elm Avenue home on Monday was murdered before his home was set on fire.
Firefighters from Englewood, Hackensack and Bergenfield fighting the midnight fire discovered Robert Cantor’s body in the basement of his home.
Authorities say Cantor was shot before someone deliberately set his home on fire to hide the evidence.
Fifty-nine year-old Cantor, who worked at Verizon Wireless, recently divorced his wife, Susan Kirschenbaum, who now lives in Bogota.
