A 26-year-old New York City man died after being struck by a box truck in the Bronx early this morning.
Police said Jermaine Eliot was crossing Barnes Avenue and East 233rd Street in the Wakefield section of the Bronx around 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, when a white box truck hit him then continued driving.
Eliot’s body was discovered by officers, who rushed him to Jacobi Hospital, where he later died.
No arrest has been made.
