I read this on Bloomberg, so I know it gotta be true.
President Bush had to ducked when two shoes came flying his way by shoe owner, Muntadar al-Zaidi, who is also a journalist, during a press conference in Iraqi prime minister’s office. YIKES!
After coming up for some fresh air, President Bush shrugged and said, “I am ok……..all I can report is it is a size 10.”
Before being wrestled to the ground, Muntadar al-Zaidi, said to President Bush, “this is a farewell kiss; dog….this is the end” I wonder if he meant “dawg”?
In Arab culture, throwing of shoes is a grave show of disrespect.
Bush told a couple of reporters aboard Air Force One the shoe-throwing incident was not a sign of popular opinion in Iraq. He said, “I don’t think you can take one guy throwing shoes and say this represents a broad movement in Iraq. You can try to do that if you want to. I don’t think it would be accurate.”
How clueless is this man?
DAMN, I DON’T LIKE BUSH, BUT THIS WAS VERY DISRESPECTFUL.
