Frank Ocean, from the rap group Odd Future has come clean about his sexuality.

Frank, who collaborated with Kanye West and Jay-Z on “Watch the Throne”, is believed to be the first hip hop star to publicly come out of the closet.

The rapper posted his sexuality on Tumblr early this morning saying “Four summers ago, I met somebody.  I was 19 years old.  He was too.”

“We spent that summer, and the summer after, together.   Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide.  Most of the day I’d see him, and his smile.”

“Sleep I would often share with him.  By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant.  It was hopeless.  There was no escaping; no negotiating to the women I had been with, the ones I care for and thought I was in love with.”

“I don’t have any secrets I need kept anymore….I feel like a free man.”

The revelation follows months of speculation about the 24-year-old’s sexuality, which he had planned to address in the sleeve notes of his yet-to-be-released debut album Channel Orange. Ocean – whose real name is Christopher Francis Ocean – is now considered the first mainstream hip hop star to ‘come out’, although it is not known if he considers himself straight, gay or bisexual.

Good for you Frank!!!
