Rhode Island couple, Terrance Bernard and Savannah Wakely killed in New Year’s Day accident on I-95 in Westport

Two people from Rhode Island were killed early Sunday morning when the vehicle they were traveling in overturned on I-95 in Connecticut.

Forty-six year old Terrance Bernard and 25-yearold Savannah Wakely, both from Woonsocket, R.I., were pronounced dead at the scene when the 2005 Nissan Altima they were traveling in rolled over in Westport.

The driver, 32-year-old Jamain Allen, of Bridgeport was taken to Norwalk Hospital and another passenger, 27-year-old Jennifer Shaver, also from Bridgeport, was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Updates on their conditions were not available at press time.

The accident is under investigation.

They were not a couple; the two that died were father and daughter. The other female in the car is the daughter/sister of the two deceased.

I use to work with Savannah and she was really laid back and super cool, Hard to work with at times and not that super respectful to people but she was def someone who will be missed!
