A 47-year-old Canadian man has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the death of two men who worked at a construction company in Toronto.

York police were called to James Elliott Underground Construction around 10:25 a.m., where they found two employees, James Wilson and William Allan Jones, both 76, suffering from serious head injuries.

One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other died at a hospital.

Robert Abernethy was arrested on Tuesday.

Reports say both the deceased worked as mechanics at the Schomberg company.
