Sixteen Mexican nationals have filed a $32 million lawsuit against Arizona rancher Roger Barnett, because he stopped them from crossing over from Mexico into the U.S.

According to the plaintiffs’ lawyer, Barnett violated his client’s civil rights on March 7, 2004, when he approached them with his dog and a gun and held them at gunpoint until the U.S. Border Patrol arrived.

Since 1998, Barnett has been rounding up illegal immigrants who were trying to cross over to the U.S, by walking onto his 22,000-acre ranch, and turning them over to Border Patrol.

According to authorities, Barnett’s property is known by law enforcement as “the avenue of choice,” for illegal Mexicans trying to come into the U.S.

Barnett told officials that not only are the coming into this country illegally, but “they destroyed my property, kill my calves and break into my home.”

The immigrants are asking an Arizona judge to award them the $32 million for actual and punitive damages for civil rights violations, and the infliction of distress.

YOU KNOW WHAT; I AM NOT GOING TO WRITE ANYMORE ABOUT THIS RIDICULOUS LAWSUIT.

HOW CAN SOMEONE WHO IS IN THIS COUNTRY ILLEGALLY, SUE SOMEONE WHOSE PROPERTY THEY BROKE INTO AND DESTROYED?

WHAT KIND OF A LAWYER WOULD REPRESENT THESE PEOPLE?
