Rumor has it that Nicki Minaj will be joining American Idol

There are reports that West Indian rapper Nicki Minaj will be joining Mariah Corey as an American Idol judge.

Although neither Fox nor Nicki have confirmed the rumor, sources close to the 29-year-old colorful emcee said the deal is 100% done.

There were reports last week that said P Diddy was joining the singing competition show, but most believe that rumor was started by Diddy himself.

So far Fox has only confirmed that they have signed contracts with host Ryan Seacrest and Mariah Carey   Insiders however said that Randy Jackson, the only original judge, will be returning in a mentoring role.
