Authorities in New York City say a 16-year-old high school girl shot and killed a 16-year-old boy four months ago to prove to gang members she was “down with them.”

Sahiah “Uzi” Davis, who authorities say was nicknamed after the submachine gun, was arranged last night for the April 25 shooting death of Nathaniel Walcott, who was shot to death while riding a bike on a Brooklyn street.

Authorities say Davis, who had recently joined the Wave Gang, was ordered to kill a member of her former gang to prove she was “down with her new gang.”

Around 11:00 p.m. on April 25, Davis spotted Walcott riding a pink bike on Bristol Street and fatally shot him in the back.

Family members say Davis, who was questioned by police in the July 23 shooting death of 21-year-old Riley Marlon, was not involved with any gang and she was afraid of guns.
