Scottsdale police: Naked carjacker causes multiple crashes

An Arizona’s man crazy behavior yesterday forced a major intersection in Scottsdale to shutdown and sent at least seven people to area hospitals.

Witnesses told police around 1:30 p.m. Friday the suspect struck a Porsche with his car near Hayden Road and Via de Ventura, causing the Porsche to crash into another vehicle.

The suspect, who has not yet been identified, then stripped his clothes off and walked over to a woman driving a Toyota Prius and pulled her out of her vehicle.  He then parked the vehicle in the middle of the intersection and then stood on top of the roof of the car and began chanting and singing.

He then fled the scene with the Prius then rammed the stolen car into several vehicles near Shea Boulevard and 90^th Street.

One witness said the naked suspect was thrown through the windshield of the Prius and landed in the dirt next to the road.

The witness said the suspect then got up and ran to a gray minivan causing the driver of the vehicle to quickly slam on his brakes causing another crash.

Witness James Maxwell said the suspect then began screaming “The Indians are coming! The Indians are coming!”

By the time police apprehended the suspect at least seven people were injured, thankfully, none of the injuries were life-threatening.

The suspect was taken to a hospital to be evaluated for drug use or any mental issues.
