Senator Stevens’ attorney Brendan Sullivan asked Judge Emmet Sullivan to dismiss the charges against his client or declare a mistrial.
It seems like Robert Williams, who was to testify for the government went back on his word. Robert ‘Rocky’ Williams is now saying that he never told the prosecutor he worked 8 hours a day 6-7 days a week on the Senator’s house. Gosh, do you think someone got to Mr. Williams? Ha, I hope he was paid more than the $250,000 that Stevens’ received in gifts.
Judge Sullivan gave the government until 1:00pm to respond to Stevens’ request, and defense has until 7:00pm to reply.
