Looks like Senator Ted Stevens will not be going to Washington D.C. after all.
Last night, Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich made a dramatic comeback to overtake convicted felon Ted Stevens for the lead in Alaska’s U.S Senate seat.
Mayor Mark Begich has 814 votes ahead of “crooked Uncle Teddy”. However, it is not over yet, the state has about 35,000 more ballots to count, so we are looking at another week before a winner is called.
If by some miracle Senator Stevens should wins this seat again, he will be the first person ever elected to the U.S Senate after being found guilty of felony crimes.
