Seth Meyers to co-host “Live! With Kelly”

Rumor has it that Saturday Night Live “Weekend Update” anchor, Seth Meyers, is in the running to become Kelly Ripa’s co-host on “Live! With Kelly”.

As of this coming Monday, Seth will sit alongside Kelly  on the morning chat show for five days straight, and the word is shortly thereafter he will be named the permanent host.

If for some crazy reason Seth doesn’t take the job, the executives will then decide between former NFL player Michael Strahan and singer Josh Groban.

According to sources connected to the show, Seth will continue to work on SNL as the “Weekend Update” anchor, but he will give up his job as head writer.

The co-hosting job became available when 80-year-old Regis Philbin stepped down last November 18 after an incredible 28 year run.
