Jurors deciding the fate of Michael Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray, where shown a picture of the singer with tubes held down by a piece of tape on his mouth, while lying on a stretcher just moments before he was pronounced dead on June 25, 2009.

“Michael Jackson’s death was a homicide,” Los Angeles Deputy DA David Walgren told the jurors in the California courtroom earlier today.

“The acts and the omissions of Michael Jackson’s personal doctor, Conrad Murray, directly led to his premature death at the age of 50….The evidence will show that Michael Jackson literally put his life in the hands of Conrad Murray…Michael Jackson trusted his life to the medical skills of Conrad Murray,” Walgren continued.

Walgren also played an audio, which Dr. Murray’s allegedly recorded on his iPhone about a month before Jackson died, of the singer while he was under the influence of Propofol.

Jackson’s parents, along with siblings, Janet, La Toya, Tito, Randy, Rebie and Jermaine, listened tentatively to the audio of Jackson slurring his words while sounding confused: “We have to be phenomenal…when people leave this show, when people leave my show, I want them to say, ‘I’ve never seen nothing like this in my life.  Go. Go.’”

In addition to showing the jury the very disturbing picture of Jackson on a stretcher, Walgren also showed them a picture taken of Jackson rehearsing at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on June 24, 2009, the day before he died.

Dr. Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter over Jackson’s death. Walgren accused Dr. Murray of failing to call 911 as soon as he realized there was something wrong with Jackson on June 24, 2009 hours after giving him a dosage of propofol

Authorities say the doctor waited at least 24 minutes before placing the emergency call.
