Update: 7/01/09
Detroit police said that 18-year-old shooting suspect Jamall Turner surrendered to authorities today.
According to authorities, Turner was one of two suspects who got into a green minivan and “fired multiple shots at a group of teens waiting on a bus,”
It is believed that one of the suspects asked for a person by name before they started shooting at the teenagers, who were just released from Cody High School summer-school classes.
Three of the victims are still hospitalized from the shooting.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackJust as it seems Detroit’s kids are left behind by a failing school district, those who strive to better themselves must negotiate the gauntlet of gratuitous mayhem to get to or from school. Thank goodness at least one of the suspects in Wednesday’s shooting has been taken into custody.
