Although New Delhi police are saying no guns were fired this morning at New Delhi airport, BBC News and the Daily Mail are reporting that six gunmen were shot and killed at the airport.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which is a paramilitary unit responsible for airport security said they searched the entire airport inch by inch and found nothing and guns were not fired.  However, police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat contradicted CISF statement.  Mr. Bhagat said although guns were fired, no one was killed and it was not a terrorist incident.  In addition, all airports in India went on high alert on Thursday following warnings of attacks.

Someone is obviously lying here, guns were fired, or they were not, simple.  If they were, then the authorities need to fess up and let the people know what is really going on.  I hope we do not have another Mumbai incident when the authorities were warned about the attacks but did very little to protect innocent people.
