Shaun Wilcox, who is accused of killing four people in 2005 when his truck crashed at the foot of Avon Mountain, pleaded guilty today in Superior Court in Hartford, Connecticut.
Wilcox, 27, was driving one of his father’s trucks from American Crushing and Recycling, when the truck went out of control as it was descending, slamming into several cars and a commuter bus.
On July 23, 2006, Wilcox was charged with tampering with evidence and conspiracy to tamper with evidence, after employees saw him tearing up truck repair orders, which stated that the truck he crashed on July 29, 2005 had bad breaks.
His father David Wilcox, 73, was charged with first-degree manslaughter for knowing putting a truck on the road that constituted and “unjustifiable rick,” authorities said.
The younger Wilcox will be sentenced on June 30, and he faces up to 10 years in jail.
David Wilcox, is due in court next week
