Police in Connecticut are searching for the father of a Ridgefield boy who allegedly kidnapped his son over the weekend.

An Amber Alert was issued for Francis Lupo around 7:30 p.m. Sunday after his father, Paul Lupo, took him from his home in Ridgefield.

The alert was later canceled after the boy was found with a relative in the Bronx; however, police are still searching for 49-year-old Lupo, who was last seen driving a blue 2002 GMC Sierra pickup truck with license plate number 6558CR.

Lupo is described as 6-foot-1, about 210 lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with knowledge of Lupo’s whereabouts is asked to contact the police
