A Staten Island, New York, man returned home to find his 29-year-old wife stabbed to death.

Simeonette Mapes’ husband found her body inside their Forest Hill Road home in New Springville around 1:48 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities believed Mapes, whose body had multiple knife wounds, was murdered during a home invasion.

Police would like anyone with information regarding the murder to contact them.
