Not good enough for Camelot!

The average bride and groom would do just about anything to have a well-known celebrity, like country singer Taylor Swift, crash their wedding, but not the Kennedy’s.

Victoria Gifford Kennedy, who is the wife of Michael Kennedy, the son of Robert F. Kennedy, told the Boston Herald she had to ask Taylor twice to leave her daughter’s wedding reception because she was not an invited guest.

The embarrassing event recently happened last weekend at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston.

Victoria told the newspaper the whole thing started when Conor Kennedy, the eldest son of Robert Kennedy Jr., neglected to RSVP to her daughter, Kyle Kennedy’s, wedding.

She said hours before the wedding she received a text message from Conor saying he and Taylor were on their way to wedding.

Victoria told the newspaper she told him no because he never sent in his RSVP but, “They came anyway”

“I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event…and asked her as nicely as I could to leave,” Vitoria, whose husband Michael died in a 1997 skiing accident in Aspen, told the newspaper.  She said the Conor and Taylor left during the dinner part of the reception, but later returned for the dancing portion.

She said invited wedding guests began giving all of their attention to the singer and not on her daughter and her new son-in-law, Liam Kerr.

Vitoria told the newspaper she approached Taylor for a second time and asked her to leave, which she did and this time she stayed away.

Taylor’s spokesperson Paula Erikson told the Herald that Victoria’s story is full of holes.  Paula said Taylor was not only invited but she was graciously welcomed by the bride herself.

Why in God’s name would Victoria go to the media with this story?
