Small plane crashes into Kentucky motel

A small experimental type airplane crashed into a Falls of Rough, Kentucky, motel around noon today.

Reports say the plane was to on its way to a nearby airport when it crashed into the side of the Pine Tree Inn near Rough River.

It is unclear whether the pilot tried to contact anyone at the airport, which doesn’t have a tower, before it crashed into the building.

Authorities say no one on the ground was hurt.  The pilot was the only occupant in the aircraft.

As of press time there were no reports on his condition.

Reports say there was an air show scheduled in the area and officials were expected several dozen planes.
