Soldiers charged over gay oral sex video

Seventeen servicemen in Taiwan’s military were punished after a sexually explicit videotape involving two male sergeants became known.

Earlier this month a cable news station aired the video of the two male soldiers wearing their camouflage uniforms engaging in oral sex while about 40 other servicemen looked on and laughed.

In a statement that was released by the military it said that 13 of the men were disciplined for “failing to prevent a major incident from happening to damage the military honor,” and four are being prosecuted “for their involvement in public obscenity and spreading an obscene image,” including the two who were engaged in the act.

The incident happened three years ago during a training course in southern Tainan County.
