A 40-year-old British man is accused of killing his girlfriend’s nine-year-old daughter and dumping her body in his 18-wheeler truck before hanging himself.

Authorities in Northamptonshire said Darren Walker killed Stacey Lawrence last Friday and left her dead body in the unlocked cab of a Spar supermarket 18-wheeler.

The incident unfolded around 3:00 am Friday after Walker took the truck from his employers without permission and his worried bosses at AF Blakemore called 911 after he failed to return the next day.

Police searching for the truck found it unlocked and parked on a service road next to a gas station and a Little Chef restaurant with its cab curtains drawn and Stacey’s body inside.

A wider search was then conducted and Walker’s body was found in a wooded area hanging from a tree.

It is believed the girl, who enjoyed going on delivery trips with her mother’s boyfriend was sexually assaulted.
