Sunday rituals; go to church then rush home in time to see ‘Meet the Press’ with Tim Russert.  Regardless of the time of year and where I am (in the U.S) I could always count on Mr. Russert for giving an unbiased account of news in America.

This year in particular I relied on Mr.Russert to give a fair reporting on our Presidential election.  Mr. Russert had a knack for listening very carefully then following up with appropriate questions, something that most journalists do not know how to do.  He treated each guest with full respect regardless to if he agreed with them or not.  I also admired the way he was always prepared, no one was able to pull a fast one on him.

Many times I tried to guess what political party he was associated with, but because he was a true professional, I just couldn’t tell.  Mr. Russert, I know you are in heaven looking down at us, and I just wanted you to know that Sundays will just not be the same without you. See you when our father is ready to call me home!
