Comedienne turned talk show host Rosie O’Donnell revealed she suffered a heart attack last week while helping an “enormous woman” in a parking lot near her Nyack, New York, home.
Fifty-year old O’Donnell made the announcement this morning on her blog.
O’Donnell said her health issues began on August 14 after she helped an overweight woman, who was having problems getting out of her car.
She said a few hours later she felt a pain in her chest and both of her arms. She later became nauseous, hot and clammy and began vomiting.
O’Donnell said she googled the systems for a heart attack, which she had, then took the recommended Aspirin.
She said the following day she visited her cardiologist and based on her EKG result her doctor checked her into a hospital, where she had a stent inserted. She said doctors later informed her that her coronary artery was 99 percent blocked.
O’Donnell is now out of the hospital and is recovering at her Nyack home.
