A Pennsylvania jeweler said a Patek Philipe watch that White House crasher, Tareq Salahi gave to his landscaping company to cover a $2,000 bill is a fake.
The owner of R E Jewelers Watch and Clock in Chambersburg, Pa examined the fake luxury timepiece and said it’s probably worth around $100 but one can certainly purchase it on the street for a lot less.
Salahi and his wife, Michaele are accused of crashing the White House state dinner party on November 24.
The Virginia couple was subpoenaed by the House Homeland Security Committed but they invoked their Fifth Amendment, which protects against self-incrimination, not to testify.
