Is this art or animal cruelty?
Wim Delvoye, a Belgium artist living in Beijing, is displaying his latest work of tattooing pigs at the Art Farm in China.
Before inking the animals, Delvoye and his assistants give the pigs anesthetics.
Some pigs sport the Louis Vuitton logo while others have tattoos that were inspired by Russian prison inmates.
Forty-six year old win said the “pigs are a nice allegory that makes us think about what art means to us, and where the line exists between what art is and what art isn’t.”
And I ask the question, again, art or animal cruelty?

Pigs don’t ask for tattoos if if they were ment to have them
I’m sure they would.
It’s just horriable to put an animal in pain for
Our entertainment….
That’s my view!!!
I love pigs.. They are delicious!
it says the pigs were put under during the proccess…so no pain involved Reed. not animal cruelty. they look very well taken care of and very happy snoozing with their new tats, dont even see any possible signs of infection such as redness around the tats, which is pretty damn good. its kind of ridiculous what people are calling animal cruelty, search the net, u will see what animal cruelty really is.
it doesnt matter if it isnt considered animal cruelty in the law, but who in the right mind would tatoo any animal in any means. its wrong and any person living should see that!
