A California man said he was expecting his cell phone bill to be higher this month since adding his teenage son to his plan, but he wasn’t expecting it to be as high as $22,000.
Ted Estarija said his son downloaded about 1.4 million kilobytes of data in one month and his plan did not cover data usage.
Luckily for Estarija, top executives at Verizon were watching the news and heard about him and his son and offered to credit his account for the entire amount.
Unfortunately for the teenager, he no longer has a cell phone, his father suspended his privileges.
