The father of England soccer captain John Terry was caught on video selling $60 worth of cocaine to an undercover News of the World reporter who was pretending to buy to the drug for his wealthy boss.
The illegal transaction allegedly took place at the Unit 4 wine bar in Chafford Hundred, Essex on Thursday.
According to the tabloid, 55-year-old Ted Terry handed over three wraps of coke in the toilet of the bar before telling the undercover investigator “This is just between me and you. Don’t’ tell him [the boss] that I am John Terry’s dad. I can’t have this going back, I am not saying that they’ll say anything, but you never know.”
The tabloid claimed to have launched the investigation two months ago after receiving a tip that Ted was dealing drugs at the bar.
They then staked-out the bar where they saw the elder Terry drinking lager just about every afternoon.
It is alleged that Terry told the reporter that if his boss was happy with the drugs he should “talk to me and I’ll most probably be able to get you discount.”
