Terrance McCoy was sentenced to two years in prison for stealing his date’s car.

Detroit police said a 27-year-old woman on her first date with a 23-year-old man she had recently met, went from bad to worst in less than one hour.

On April 24, the unnamed woman was on a date with Terrance Dejuan McCoy at a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant and according to authorities, after the waiter brought the check, McCoy told his date he forgot his wallet in her car and asked her for the keys.

Ferndale police said instead of returning to restaurant the man sped off in the woman’s 2000 Chevrolet Impala.

Police were able to identify the man based on a photo he had sent the woman of himself from his cell phone.

If convicted, he could serve five years in prison.
