The daughter of Billy Bob Thornton arrested for the death of a child she was babysitting.

The oldest daughter of actor Billy Bob Thornton has been arrested and charged with the death of a one-year-old child who was in her care.

Last October Amanda Brumfield told police that the child fell out of her playpen and after noticing blood on her tongue, she cleaned it with a paper towel.  Instead of taking the toddler to the emergency room, Brumfield said she began playing with her, feeding her bananas and fruit snacks, and the child seemed “happy” and “playful.”

She claims that she later laid the child next to her on a couch and they both fell asleep.

Brumfield said after she was awoken by a phone call, she lifted the child to take her back to her playpen and noticed that her body was limp.

Authorities said Brumfield did not call 911 until two and a half hours after the fall.

When contacted by reporters for a comment, Thornton said he is estranged from his daughter.
