The Red Bull Cliff World Diving competition series…..the daredevil sport!

This is up there as being one of the most dangerous sports around.

The Red Bull World Cliff Diving is currently taking place in the Portuguese islands of the Azores.

Athletes climb tiny wooden ladders and then dive off between 100 feet of jagged rocks into the Atlantic Ocean.

Athletes from all over the world, including American diver David Colturi gather on the small islet of Villa France do Campi, which is situated in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Azores leg of the tour is part of a packed schedule of diving for athletes this summer.  The next leg on the competition is in Serpent’s Lair in Ireland starting on August 4.
