After an Iowa resident called 911 to report an attempted burglary in an apartment building, it did not take police too long before finding the suspects.

Police received a call last Friday around 11:32 p.m. about two male suspects with painted faces attempting to enter an apartment. The caller also told police that the suspects drove off in a large white car.

Carroll police stopped Matthew Allen McNelly and Joey Lee Miller shortly thereafter and found McNelly, 23, and Miller 20, still wearing their disguises that looked that a first-grader came up with.

They were both charged with second-degree attempted burglary and McNelly was also charged with driving while intoxicated.
