Thom Randle of Chico, California, was arrested for stealing nearly $700,000 from a Catholic charity where he served on the board of directors.
Randle, 68, was indicted last Thursday on charges of mail fraud, computer fraud and money laundering for embezzling $693,000 from the Columbian Retirement Home between September 2004 and September 2005, authorities said.
It is alleged that Randle transferred funds from the nonprofit organization into his personal accounts while he was the vice president of finance.
