Tom Brokaw rushed to hospital in N.C

Journalist Tom Brokaw was rushed to a hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, shortly after appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” earlier today.

A rep for MSNBC said while doing the chat show Brokaw began feeling “light-headed [and] out of an abundance of caution he was taken to a hospital and is being evaluated.”

The 72-year-old journalist, who stepped down as anchor of Nightly News after the 2004 election, was in N.C. for the DNC.  He was working as a Special Correspondent for NBC News.
