Toronto police identified woman found shot on Port Lands street as Leanne Freeman

A 23-year-old Canadian woman who was found suffering from gunshot wounds earlier today in the Portlands area has been identified as Leanne Freeman of Winnipeg.

Freeman’s body was found around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday by Toronto officers lying on Unwim Avenue. 

She was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital, where she later died.

As of press time police did not have a suspect in custody.
