A Spaniard undergoing a sex change is pregnant with twins, it was reported Saturday.

Ruben Noe Coronado, 25, interrupted the process of changing genders to preserve the female reproductive organs and give birth.

Coronado underwent fertility treatments after a girlfriend found out she couldn’t have more kids. The twins are due at the end of September.

Afterward, Coronado plans to complete sex-change surgery, marry partner Esperanza Ruiz, 43, and assume the role of the babies’ father.

Coronado would be the first transsexual to have twins.

Last year, U.S. transsexual Thomas Beatie gave birth to a girl and is pregnant again. Photos of Beatie bearded and pregnant made waves around the world.

Coronado – who lives as a man but is still considered a woman under Spanish law – might sell the pictures that “everyone’s going to want of me looking pregnant.”

“If I don’t do it, someone else will and they’ll make a fortune,” the expectant “dad” told London’s Daily Telegraph.

Coronado went public “so people start to see a transsexual pregnancy as normal,” the paper said.
