The driver of the 18-wheeler that Lindsay Lohan drove into yesterday told TMZ that the accident was the actress’ fault.

The driver, identified only as James, told the online site that Lindsay was “flying” down Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica in her Porsche.  He said he has witnesses who are available to testify to it.

Lindsay’s people had earlier denied that the accident was her fault.  They claimed the truck driver had cut her off; however, James said he was already in the right lane when the accident occurred.

The truck driver also claims that Lindsay tried to flee the scene immediately after the accident.  He said someone picked her up in an Escalade while her assistant picked up a pink bag and “filled it up with something” and then put some clothes on top of it.

He said when he tried to get close to the SUV to exchange information with Lindsay, the male driver of the SUV tried to over him money by inviting him to “go to the bank” with him to withdraw some cash.

As we reported yesterday, Lindsay left the scene of the accident before an ambulance arrived.  It’s unclear whether she left before the police arrived.
