Two men injured when shopping cart fell from Bronx Home Depot parking garage

Two men walking into a New York City Home Depot store Monday night were seriously injured when a shopping fell about 40feet from an adjacent parking garage.

Reports say the unidentified men were walking into the store at East 149^th Street and River Avenue near Yankee Stadium when someone pushed the cart off a third story parking garage.

The men were taken to Lincoln Medical Center, where one, a 52-year-old, underwent emergency surgery.

An update on his condition was not available at press time.

The other victim, aged 30, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police have not arrested anyone.

The incident was an eerie reminder of a similar incident at a Target store in Harlem.

Forty-seven year old Mario Hedges was left brain damaged after two 12-year-old boys threw a shopping cart off a Target garage.

The boys pleaded guilty in that incident.
