Since being diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2007, British reality TV celebrity Jade Goody gave cameras permission to follow her every move including her death, which came early this morning.

Goody, 27, who was a contestant on the UK’s version of “Big Brother,” died in her sleep around 4:00 am at her home in Essex, east of London.

At her bedside were her husband Jack Tweed, who she wed last month, her mother, Jackiey Budden, and her two boys Bobby 5, and Freddie, 4.

The UK TV audience had a love hate relationship with Goody since her appearance on “Big Brother” in 2002.

Although she was not the winner of the series, the former dental nurse was able to parlay her popularity into a series of reality shows and business deals.

After she was diagnosed with cancer, she agreed to return to the show that started her career with her mother and then-boyfriend at her side.

During her second appearance on “Big Brother,” she was accused of making racists comments about an Indian housemate, and according to reports, more than 50,000 people filed complaints about the remarks.

She later apologized for making the racists comments, and signed on signed on to do the Indian’s version of “Big Brother.”  Two days into doing that series, she announced to her housemates and audiences that she was suffering from cancer, and flew back to the UK for treatment.
