For the second year in a row, Venezuela has taken home the coveted title of Miss. Universe.

Beating out more than 80 other beautiful contestants from around the world, Stefania Fernandez was named Miss Universe 2009 on Sunday night in Nassau, Bahamas.

Fellow countrywoman and former titleholder Dayana Mendoza, Miss Universe 2008, crowned the eighteen-year-old winner.

In addition to the use of a NYC apartment and all living expenses paid for one year, Ms. Fernandez received a two-year scholarship at the New York Film Academy; a vacation for two in the Bahamas; and a wardrobe, including evening wear, swimsuits and jewelry.

Miss Dominican Republic, Ada Aimee De La Cruz was named first runner-up.
