Vincent Lopez accused of raping co-worker at Biscuits and Bath Dog Retreat

A 21-year-old New York City man is accused of raping a 21-year-old co-worker inside their place of business last week.

The incident occurred early Saturday morning inside the Biscuits and Bath Dog Retreat in Manhattan.

Authorities said the victim and the suspect, who has been identified as Vincent Lopez, were working the overnight shift at the West Village dog spa when Lopez began drinking alcohol on the job.

Sometime around 2:30 a.m., Lopez attacked the woman, repeatedly hitting her in the face before ripping her clothes off.

After Lopez was finished raping the victim, she locked herself inside a bathroom at the 24-hour spa and stayed there until another co-worker arrived for the dayshift.

Meanwhile, Lopez had already fled the business, which closes its doors to the public at 8:00 p.m. but groomed the animals 24×7. Police later caught up with Lopez at his Throgs Neck home.

Lopez, who has several prior arrests for criminal trespass, fare-jumping and robbery, is being held at Rikers Island on $50,000 bail.
