An arrest warrant has been issued for Cuba Gooding Jr. after a New Orleans woman told police he shoved her in a bar.
The alleged assault took place around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Old Absinthe House.
According to the police report, the actor was in the New Orleans bar when he was recognized by a few patrons, who began taking pictures of him.
It’s unclear whether the actor was intoxicated, but he began cussing at the customers and a female bartender asked him to leave.
Witnesses told police as Cuba was walking out of the establishment he pushed the bartender against a wall.
Police were called but by the time officers arrived the actor, who is currently in New Orleans filming the movie “The Butler”, had already left the bar.
A warrant was then issued for Cuba’s arrest.
The Butler is a star-studded film about a White House butler who served eight Presidents over the course of three decades. Also starring in the movie are: Oprah Winfrey, Lenny Kravitz Robin Williams, Liam Neeson, Nicole Kidman, John Cusack, Jane Fonda, Terrence Howard and Forest Whitaker.
Oprah plays the role of Gloria Gaines in the movie.
