Canadian authorities are investigating whether a 21-year-old man accidentally fell to his death from a Toronto high-rise apartment building Friday morning or was he pushed.

Officers responding to a call at 285 Shuter Street around 8:50 a.m. heard shouting inside the 15th floor apartment.  The officers claimed that they knocked on the door but before they were able to enter the apartment the occupant fell to his death.

The victim was identified as Dale Anthony Chatrie.

Some witnesses said they saw when Chatrie jumped from the balcony and tried to scale the building when he slipped and fell; however, those who know Chatrie said they do not believe his death was an accident.

The provincial Special Investigations Units has assigned six investigators and two forensic investigators to probe the circumstances of his death.
